Polska wersja poniżej // Polish version below We regret to inform you that Waldi SP7IDX passe…
Ordered Waldi’s hexbeam on June, arrived 3 weeks later, great workmanship, easy to put
together swr avg 1.2 all bands, rises a little with rain fall. So far I have managed to work
some nice DX E51, Kl7, Kh6, Bd, E20, YB Ja, Vu, Vk Ce Bx. Can’t wait for cycle 25 to really test
this piece of kit out!
The workmanship and quality of components are excellent. Every piece fits exactly as it
should. No tuning was necessary SWR was below 1:1.5 on all bands, except 6m where it is
flat around 1:2 over the whole band. Mounted the antenna on a Spiderbeam HD 14.5 m
rotatable push-up Alu-mast with an AlphaSPID RAK rotor at the bottom. Fits perfectly in the
top tube of that mast. (…) Great performance as I can see after a couple of days of
operation. My first impression says 1-2 S-units better than my old AV620 vertical, 6m above
ground level. Very good value for money!
I ordered the antenna because of the many positive reviews and was not disappointed. The
antenna is broadband, antenna tuner is not needed on any of the bands. Had measured the
radiation diagram in the 20 meter band with WSPR and a receiving station 50 km away, the
forward-back ratio was a little over 20 dB. Can recommend the antenna to everyone, also
fits in a small house.
Absolutley great! Recommedation 5+! Bought the Hexbeam from Waldi almost 7 years ago. I
am ready to buy a new one. – great support as well as communication. wow and wonderful
job! Great antenna! – really stable here. and wonderful SWR I never had with an similar
We have some Hexbeam used for E44CC expedition mounted at 5m on hotel top-roof @45m
gnd! Amazing resistance with heavy wind, great and easy quick assembly, light to package
and travel with. Perfect swr matching on all bands, no need to adjust something. Baluns are
nice quality. Ordering the antennas was very quick and well shipping packaged. So next
expedition will also been with SP7IDX hexbeam antennas for sure.
